Tony Kan & Co. is a Hong Kong law firm with representative offices in Mainland China (collectively, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Tony Kan & Co. and/or its representative  offices in Mainland China).

This Privacy Statement and Policy explains our information practices in relation to your personal data as defined under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap.486 of the laws of Hong Kong  (“Personal Data”).

Collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data

We only collect your Personal Data only when such information is voluntarily submitted by you, for example, if you send us an email enquiry.

For the purposes stated below, we may collect data which may identify you, including but not limited to your name, gender and contact details : -

  2. (if you are our client) providing our services to you;

  3. the operation of this website;

  4. handling and following up on enquiries, requests and complaints’

You have a right to request access to, and the correction of, your personal data in accordance with, where applicable, the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), or any other applicable data protection law.  Requests for access and, correction and/or erasure of personal data, as well as withdrawal of consent, where applicable, should be made by email and addressed to our Data Protection Officer.

In the event that your wish to access or amend your personal information and data, we may request you to provide personal details in order to verify and confirm your identity.  Identity card number or passport number or business registration certificate number cannot be amended unless such data is proved to be inaccurate.

We reserve our right to charge you a reasonable fee for responding to any requests made and may not respond until such fees have been duly paid by you.

Retention of Personal Data

We may retain your Personal Data as is reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, protecting our rights and interests, prevent fraud and abuse, or to enforce this Privacy Statement and Policy and the Terms and Conditions of this site.
